Our Story

  

Our story began back in 1916 when Louis Braca, a first generation Italian immigrant and entrepreneur, established himself in the City of Sea Isle and opened the cities' first theater. Over the decades, this location has housed many family businesses. Rita Braca's son, Jim, and his wife Lynn decided to enter in the candy business over thirty years ago in 1982. James Fudge, a new family business was born specializing in homemade fudge and salt water taffy made from only the finest and purest ingredients.

   Today, the day to day operations remain a family affair. Over the years, the product line has expanded to include fresh handmade caramels, fudge, caramel corn, salt water taffy, chocolates and more. Our homemade products are made on the premises daily, with the highest quality, all natural ingredients. We attribute our success to our hardworking staff, consistent quality and distinct flavors of our products. We are always interested in obtaining feedback from our customers and staff on how to make our products better so that we can constantly make our store better. At any time during the summer, you can smell the sweet scent of our famous caramel corn or catch a glimpse of smile from one of our friendly staff. We have become known as “Sea Isle's Sweetest Thing” over the years not only because of our products but also because of our staff and overall inviting environment.
